# Sign-in and access

> Check an application, recover sign-in, or understand an access change.

## Application status

| What you see                         | What exists                                                          | What to do                                                                        |
| ------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Application received or under review | An application only. No organization, access, or API key exists yet. | Wait for a decision. Do not submit another application for the same organization. |
| Approved                             | Your organization has been created.                                  | Sign in, then create an organization API key.                                     |
| Not approved                         | No organization was created.                                         | [Contact support](/help/contact) only if you have new information to add.         |
| Access removed                       | Access is blocked. The organization may still exist.                 | [Contact support](/help/contact) if the change was unexpected.                    |
| Access restored                      | Access is available again.                                           | Sign in again. Create or test an API key with Echo before live work.              |

## Sign-in did not finish

| What you see                                         | What to do                                               |
| ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| The sign-in attempt expired or could not be verified | Start a new sign-in.                                     |
| Signup lost the organization name                    | Start signup again.                                      |
| Account already exists                               | Sign in instead of applying again.                       |
| No account was found                                 | Apply for private preview.                               |
| An invitation cannot be used                         | Ask the organization administrator for a new invitation. |

## No email arrived

Email delivery and access status are separate. Try signing in to check the
current access state. [Contact support](/help/contact) if the state is unclear.

Do not send an invitation link, sign-in link, browser cookie, or screenshot
that exposes one.
